The Project.
Good Vibes Social Club is a non-profit located in Battle Ground, WA. They aim to provide young adults with special needs a place to socialize and connect with other adults their age.
As a volunteer for Good Vibes Social Club, I create flyers that draw attention to club events. These flyers aim to remind club goers of dates, times, and important event information. All of these flyers were created in Canva.
Each flyer aims to present the group event as a fun, social event that gets them excited to meet with the group again. Accessibility is a big concern when creating the flyers, so each one is made to be easily readable and remind club go-ers of what we are doing, and what they should bring.
The Flyers
Bowling at Tiger Bowl.
This flyer was created to promote a bowling event at a local bowling alley. Blue and purple colors were chosen to match with the Good Vibes Social Club brand, and give the flyer a harmonious color scheme.
Fun and round graphics also contribute to the flyer’s laid-back and interesting attitude. Most of the fonts were chosen to match with prior flyer materials, but a distinct rounded text was used to match the graphics.
Next Level Pinball Museum.
This flyer was created for a larger group event where we went to a pinball museum in Hillsboro. The flyer needed to contain a lot of information, so I spent most of my time on the layout of the type. It needed to remind club go-ers of the time we needed to meet, when we were leaving, what they needed to bring, as well as information to the location so that they knew what to expect.
Retro Bowling at Tiger Bowl.
This flyer was made to replicate a more 50’s style, to match the look of the bowling alley. I decided to use a bright red and blue to stay in line with the 50’s bowling alley theme. I made sure the most important information, such as the type of event, location, and date were easily visible so that club members could easily find the most relevant information. I also used image outlines of both male and female bowlers were used so that all club members felt included.
