The Project.
For my capstone project at Clark College, I decided to work with a non-profit organization I volunteer for, Good Vibes Social Club. Good Vibes Social Club provides a space for young adults with special needs to socialize and connect with others through activities and events. I created a website design using Figma that aims to promote club events, attract sponsors, help to get more donations, and encourage volunteer participation.

Process
The project kicked off by talking to the organization’s founder and discussing what the club really needs in a website. They mentioned that they are not looking for new members, and to prioritize getting new volunteers and donations. Based on the values, goals, and overall vibe of the club, we decided on a fun, playful, personalized site that reflects how much fun we have as a club together.
The website was made in Figma, with 6 pages (home, events, volunteer, donate, what we do, and contact us) in 3 responsive web views. First I began by developing the visual identity, as the group currently has little to no branding. This was the most rewarding part for me, as I was able to make the group have a fun and lighthearted look that reflects the club’s rules and values.
During the first few weeks, I developed my wireframes, site map, as well as branding guidelines. This basic visual direction allowed me to refine my work much further during the last weeks of class.
